At King’s we work each and every day to communicate and hand down our century long traditions of ham making. Our story is one of passion and serious dedication to our product. Our commitment has developed into a common heritage, shared with all within the context of respect for our employees and for the region in which we live and work. Respect that ensures that our products are more than just something to grace the table but stand as an unequivocal symbol of our traditions and a true reflection of the region from which they came. Our commitment has been expressed through many varied initiatives over the course of the years. From the most recent “doors open to all at Sossano”, that brought us even closer to the people of our region, to the mouth-watering “Prosciuttando” cooking competition, with participation by FIC (Federazione Italiana Cuochi) chefs, to promote and offer new interpretations of ham in modern cooking. All of these initiatives run alongside our ongoing commitment to local businesses and organisations involved in the promotion of regional tourism, and our work with schools and the young, especially through regular school visits. These are just small examples of how a large company, in which traditional craftsmanship and passion still prevail, can become a living and breathing entity within the wider socio-cultural context of the community. King’s has maintained its family feel, a family characterised by its deep rooted traditions of craftsmanship. This is a philosophy that seeks to incorporate the desires of our customers, who are increasingly concerned with the quality of products and how they are made, with ever increasing output. Although our output has now grown to more than 800,000 products a year, our dedication and attention to detail has remained unchanged. We are deeply proud of this commitment and firmly believe that mechanisation can never take the place of the expert hands of the craftsman.
